Bluebird Trail at Foxhollow Farm with Phil Tamplin

Bird expert, Phil Tamplin, installed Bluebird houses on our farm to help increase their population!  While installing his homemade birdhouses, we inspected boxes that were already on the farm and were delighted to find bluebirds and numerous eggs. “Thank You” Phil for your thoughtful care to the birds of KY.  Come to our farm and visit our Bluebird Trail!

What’s more local than a handmade holiday wreath?!

We’re so excited our friend Samantha Birmingham from Yonder Cottage Flowers is teaching a wreath making class next Tuesday, Dec 6th at 7pm.

Not only is she ridiculously talented with flowers, but she’s also a hilarious girl that makes any time with her a party in the making.  Fa la la la la.

Sam is going to gather up all sorts of fun materials from the farm and demonstrate how to use them in an evening workshop.  You don’t need any experience to come, just willing hands and an open mind. The best part is keeping the wreath you make, hanging it at your house and bragging to your in-laws that you made it with your own fair hands.

Stones

Marko Pogacnik has returned to Foxhollow with a group of his students

to carve a series of stone pillars to be distributed around the farm. Each stone represents an aspect of the land. If you have visited our stone circle on the farm that was installed by Marko in 2008, you will know that he designs and places these stones on a landscape in order to support the health of the earth.
Marko will be giving a public lecture here at the Farm Center tomorrow night (Saturday) at 7:30pm. The cost is $15.00 at the door. All of the stones will be installed by May 9th , so please stop by on a Saturday when the store is open ( 10am -5pm) and you can walk around and enjoy them first hand!
More later as the stones are carved! Janey
